Manuskript 0.16.0

Manuskript 0.16.0 is here!

This is again a release to address issues and crashes for the most part to improve the experience overall. So this release won’t bring a lot of new features. But there’s still a bit coming.

What’s new?

Translations

As always the translations have improved by multiple contributions from our community. Big thanks for all the ongoing support to improve the user experience in many different languages, increasing the accessibility of this software.

If your come by as user and wonder how you could improve translations for UI texts of this software as well. Feel free to checkout our repository on Weblate where you can discuss with other contributors and commit translations.

Back & Forward navigation

Big thanks to Arne Sostack (@alfar) a new feature has been added which allows navigation between opened text documents of your project back and forth. This also allows using hotkeys besides buttons in the menu bar.

Adding info details to multiple characters in parallel

Thanks to @tntscreed there’s now a new menu in case you select multiple characters to add detailed information fields to them in parallel. In the future there might come in a different functionality to use templates for that replacing this dialog. But until then this feature will hopefully reduce time plotting to go back writing sooner.

Fixes

Many different contributors have helped this time to fix reported crashes, improve overall consistency or fix minor annoyances. For example the word counter should be more accurate now and picking between project templates in the project creation dialog shouldn’t cause the application to crash anymore.

If you still encounter any issues, especially bugs which cause your application to crash, please report that on our Github page (best with the regarding log or console output from the crash attached). There are many contributors which might pick up your issue and fix it for everyone in the future.

Thanks to all of them for contributing!
